Review summary

Nice trip but I---- Will NOT go out of NY in Feb due to the Unruly teenagers The Ship (Gem) got in to NY late, so embarkation was delayed perhaps a text would have help .I wouldn’t have gone to the pear to stand in line for 2+hr!

Cleanliness was great but ship’s layout and design was hard for me to navigate, had to go down floors to get to the elevators to go to the thermal suite. In the front of the ship! Got mix up many times, contemplating blaming my drink package

11626 closes to elevator & Stairs. No noise from above. Didn’t like the bathtub, hard to get in & out, Preferred a shower .Balcony extremely nice.

Yes Ljrat, I do recall Gem's deck plans as being kind of wonky. My cabin was on deck 9 a bit forward and it was a long long walk to get to the aft elevators if you wanted to get to anything aft on the other side of the top decks without having to walk through the masses out on the upper deck. But this was also the first ship I was ever on also, so my inexperience back then was probably a factor as well. Have never been back on the Gem again because of the memory of how difficult it felt to get around. I can relate to your review totally.
