Review summary

Leaving from Boston is convenient for us (Maine) and the cruise was a nice break from a long winter. Bermuda is very nice, clean, and friendly people, but pricey. We went to a presentation on board touting cruises from Boston or NY but it was all NY. The presenter suggested that Norwegian was eliminating southbound Boston cruises. But others said this was not so. Everyone should be on the same page.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Efficient. We boarded earlier than our group # because there were gaps and we were there.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Buffet was OK. Drinks were pricey. Dining was rather good, especially in the Grand Pacific. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were a treat. We weren't asked (except once) whether we wanted to share a table. We would have appreciated a couple more opportunities to dine with fellow passengers. No dress code , even the premium restaurants allowed T shirts, shorts, etc. Kind of disappointing.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Nice fitness center. Wife spent a lot of time in the spa. Too cool for the pool but looked fun for the kids. Good casino. Made some money on 3 card poker.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Very good entertainment. Standing ovations for the stage shows and the casual entertainment was nice also.

Children's Programs

No kids. But there were plenty on bord this cruise. Vacation week.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
No one went out of their way for us but it was OK. I asked our cabin steward to leave an extra daily newsletter. He said he was only allowed to leave 1 per stateroom. Should have added "But I'll make sure that you get an extra one anyway".

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Atrium was often crowded and noisy.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Size was OK, plenty of storage, but toilet was difficult to use. No knee room.

Ship tip

Find the small dining area in the aft, all the way through the Garden buffet. Quiet, has a bar and small buffet.

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

4 out of 5
Lots of shops, bars, water activities based there. Good embarkation point for anywhere you want to go.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We hauled our own luggage so we got off the ship first, but after much waiting. Surprised that there was no customs check in Boston.
