Review summary

I felt pressured to purchase things on the cruise especially the spa staff. If I did not purchase something after they explained it to me they made me feel terrible about it. After my massage, I was in an enclosed room with the staff pressuring me to buy more things and when I kept saying no she got upset! The food is the same old. The wait staff were great at the restaurants.

This happened to me. Now I tell them up front no sales pitch or I am walking out.

I just came off of the ship yesterday. On the port canaveral day I was on my way to the gym with my 12 year old. Of course I had to pass the spa. We got sucked into sample massages but the ladies eye sooo nice. They explained all the different kinds of massages. I ended up signing me up for. The aroma hot stone and my daughter had the Swedish. She loved her first professional massage and I was in heaven with mine. We were so relaxed and our bodies never felt better. I had a $50 off coupon which was very helpful. She recommended products afterwards but when I declined she just said no problem. Super nice. No regrets!

Ycruise125: no reason to stay away from the Spa..... have you bought a car and pressured to buy accessories or the extended warranty? buy a TV or other electronic item and told how important it would be to buy the purchase protection insurance? do you have a cell phone from a major carrier who highly suggested you purchase the insurance in case you drop it? buy carpeting for your house and told about the benefit of the upgraded pad? ........ same thing with spa personnel. Enjoy the services and say "no thankful"

This happened to me on our honeymoon. After a nice relaxing massage, the woman came back into the room with a few papers and products telling me what I needed to come back for. They have that buy more save more BS slogan. Just leave me alone. If I want anything else, I know where to find you! So frustrating.

I always tell them either no thank you, or I'll think about it and ask for the name of the product and if i want it I'll be back. Never felt pressured.

Thanks, I’m staying away from the Spa

Next time set it straight before the massage. No no no

The spa is a third party contract company and you will always have a hard pressure sell..... I'm sorry you felt overwhelmed and uncomfortable but you truly only owed that person a polite "no thank you". That person immediately forgot about your "no" the second their next customer walked in. This isn't unique to NCL.
