Great cruise. Very relaxing. Starting with our agent AURIEL ROOF, she was great and very helpful. 7 days total at sea, 3.5 total at ports. Ship staff is tops. Helpful, kind and courteous. Smoking sections are small and not enough, but they have a wonderful cigar lounge which is usually very peaceful if you want some quiet time other than your stateroom. NCL representatives are also very helpful at getting you answers to your questions.

Selection was good, presentation was excellent but temperature of food was never hot enough. Overall, food is very good; not exceptional, but the specialty restaurants are so much better than the complimentary ones. Order a specialty dining package before you sail ($25 pp per meal - we paid $100 pp for 4 specialty restaurants) AND BE SURE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE. Cagney steak house was fantastic, so was Moderno Churrascaria. Le Bistro (french rest) was also very good. We didn't go to the Japanese or Italian because we're surrounded by them on Long Island. The std Dining rooms were nice, The biggest was the Grand Pacific which was beautifully decorated, but sometimes service is very slow. The Magenta Dining room was much more intimate and service was better. Orchid Garden was ok but noisy because of it's location near an open area. The buffet area (Garden Cafe) Had nice selection and even when crowded, which was often, the lines moved pretty well. Biggest problem was getting a place to sit. Outside grille (back of ship) was fantastic. Poolside grilles were ok too. The french fries were amazing!! Burgers, dogs, all good but never hot enough. Coffee, crappy juices and water are available at all times, but Orange juice is only available at breakfast time, so bring some back to your stateroom and put in the fridge if you like to have some at times other than breakfast.

Ship was renovated 2 years ago and was extremely clean. Easy to get around. Elevators are slow and their movement makes no sense. One will be going up;your floor is next; then all of a sudden it's going down. Long story short...if you're going down, take the stairs. It's exercise and a lot faster. Going up is another story if you have to go several floors.
Cabin / Stateroom

We booked guaranteed balcony but were upgraded to mini-suite. Room was plenty big enough. Nice bathroom (toilet area was tight but still big enough, I'm 240 lbs) Shower pressure was great. All water is filtered so you can drink the tap water and it was fine. Balcony was very nice as well.
Ship tip
Bring as much wine as you can. They allow you to but charge a corkage fee of $15 -750ml, $20- 1 Ltr, $30 - 1.5Ltr, but its worth it. We bought 2 martinis & paid $45.50 with tax & tip (which is automatically added). I brought 5- 1.5 ltr bottles of wine, cost $150.00 but would've been $450+ on ship.
Went to El Yunque Rain forest tour, it was just ok. Old San Juan is very quaint and has some nice local restaurants. El jibarito was a pretty good hole in the wall for lunch.
Don't shop here. Very expensive, but it is a very beautiful island. Very Safe. Take the tour that takes you to Cane Garden Bay. You'll have an hour at the beach and see a lot of the island. Very nice.
