We enjoyed getting away from daily life.  The Norwegian Gem is a well maintained ship.  The cruise was smooth.  The ship was crowded with children due to spring break.  The food in the main dining room was inconsistent.  Items on the menu were not explained well.  The wait staff in the main dining room needs more training and improvement.  I had to explain on more than one occasion that I would like hot water for my tea.  Something needs to be done to keep children and teenagers occupied so they are not nuisances on the stairs, elevators and hallways.  Our room attendant always took great care to please us.  Entertainment was good.
