From the kindness and availability of the staff,  to the variety and quality of food, to the availble entertainment,  I was Highly impress with the Gem.   Most striking was the quality of entertainment in the theater,  I was expecting ok shows,  they were fabulous.   Each about 45 minutes long,  they had great variety each night, and were true professionals.  The food was top notch as well with much variety.  And our room was always clean.   Great boat, great experience

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
loved it
Cabin / Stateroom
only downside, is our bed was truely 2 twins connected together, with a lump in the middle
Service and Staff
treated us like royalty
Children's Programs
Onboard Activities
nice variety, only thing it lacked was places to slow dance. All the dancing was upbeat or specialized
Destinations and Excursions
New York, New York
easy to get to, easy to get on and off the boat
San Juan, Puerto Rico
pulled in right down town
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Samana, Dominican Republic

at lunch, if you do the buffet, go eat in La Cucina.... plenty of seats, nicer atmosphere
