Ship: Norwegian Escape

The Norwegian Escape is a beautiful ship. My family had an amazing time and loved Bermuda. The activities on the ship were awesome. We spent a lot of time by the pool and our favorite part had to be the water slides. The food was great and the was staff was very pleasant. I would definitely go on this ship again!

Ship: Norwegian Escape

My Husband and I just got back last weekend, truly the escape was a wonderful cruise. Lots of different food options! The district brew house on board was awesome so many different beers on tap and bottled! The ship was immaculately clean, and honestly the staff were awesome which made our cruise! Comedy Late Night Show was hilarious, we where literally tearing from laughing so hard! Also Choir of Man show was so amazing! Recommend booking your shows & speciality restaurants as soon as you can for your desired times! Bermuda was amazing! such a beautiful island, and the beaches are incredible!! From start to finish the cruise was amazing loved it!!

Amazing Cruise to Bermuda by asalloway

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Escape / Destination: Bermuda

We had an amazing trip! The food esp Cagneys and Tappanyaki (sp?) were the best! Stayed away from the pool it just looked like a disgusting sea of bodies everywhere. We did not have trouble finding a more quiet place to sit, just need to get out a bit early. It is ok to leave towels on your chair to go get lunch or something but only for an hour and then they will remove all your belongings to guest services. The shows were also amazing, what a great time. Hated the 80's party! Either the DJ stinks or he hates music, he ruined every song with extra techo music over it. 80's music can stand on it own, esp with other parties like the glow party that was techo, the 80's should not have been messed with. People were excited when certian songs came on and then totally stopped dancing when the song was destroyed. It was too bad, could have been alot of fun.

Fun in the sun cruise to Bermuda! by Diamond52

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Escape / Destination: Bermuda

This was my third cruise to Bermuda because I enjoy the people, food, beaches and history of the island. It has more of a "laid" back vibe than the islands in the Caribbean and I always feel comfortable traveling on my own there. It is very easy and convenient getting around on their transportation system (buses, ferries) with a map to the destinations. The restaurants offer a variety of good foods at reasonable prices and the shopping is competitive in the shops. These are just some of the things that I enjoy doing when I visit Bermuda.

This is my second cruise... by libiss

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Escape

This is my second cruise with NCL. I enjoyed the large ship compare to the gem class ship for source of entertainment, activities, and bars. Stateroom: Inside Cabin, 5701. Not bad at all, would be tight of a 3rd person was in there. Made due for the small room. Bathroom set up was nice, better then the Pearl imo. Service: Was decent and our stateroom guy was little slow on work but was friendly. Front desk helped us for any small needs and was quick. Our servers for the resturants were great except the La Bistro as we were asked for anything almost every 3 minutes. Felt rush. Pool Area and Activities: Pool will be crowded during the warm season. Get out early if you want to tan out in the sun. Hand full of hot tubs, but would suggest the Spice H20 Tubs better, less crowed. Ropes Course is free and fun. Water slids are great for all ages. Bars: A lot of options for drinks. New favorite drink is Mango Meltdown. Try it. The whisky bar was a favorite for some Old Fashions. All bartenders did their best! Entertainment: I saw a much better production on the bigger ship. Enjoyed every show we got a chance to see. Actors were great and enjoy to watch. Overall: If the ship is full, expect to feel a little crowed, and has two sets of elevators. Main reason why Im giving the ship 3 stars. I would suggest going on the ship maybe off summer season to beat the crowds.

So much to do on the Escape! The Mojito Bar, and Le Bistro were our favorites! Can't wait to go back in June.. I've cruised many times on Carnival and NCL, with NCL being my favorite... Happy cruising!!!

First time on a Norwegian... by Brianstanley

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Escape

First time on a Norwegian Ship. I can say the boat was amazing and very clean. The staff for the most part was friendly some did not seem to enjoy their job. Our Room Steward was not helpful at all. And did. It seem to know what he was doing or what items he replaced in our room. As for food it was ok in some places others not so much. The buffet had the same things every day it could of been changed up a bit like other cruises I have been on. Needed more onboard activities for kids besides just splash academy especially when we had cold weather in June and had to be inside due to rough seas and rain. I understand not cruise lines fault w weather but would of liked to see more kid friendly activities. Bingo pricing was way to high compared to other cruise lines. Also kids area on pool deck only a few attractions were working so kids missed out on some things. Like I said there were good and bad unfortunately we had bad weather the first two days and on Saturday this past week when we were gone. Not sure if we will sail Norwegian again but I think there needs to be a lot changed.

Great Cruise BUT!!! by bubba2233

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Escape / Destination: Bermuda

Very good cruise for families and kids even older kids. Very good food and entertainment but if you like to gamble and like Black Jack be prepared to loose unless you feel comfortable playing $50 + a hand.

Fabulous Bermuda cruise! by pezzy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

The ship is easily navigated and beautiful. The staff are very friendly, and helpful. One downfall is the size of the pool and pool area to the amount of people.

Amazing cruise and grear staff.... by Nixon007

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Escape

Amazing cruise and grear staff. Everything that wasnt a con was amazing btw! Cons: DJ was pretty terrible (played way too much techno and just weak music), elevators were CRAZY and were always packed (we took the stairs pretty much everywhere), and their were some issues regarding the drop water slides operation (likely now resolved). Dispite these issues this was probably on ny top 5 cruise list.

Just returned today. Definitely our... by Englishrose113

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Escape

Just returned today. Definitely our best cruise. Awesome Bartenders especially at the Mixx bar on 6. We loved the adults only deck with the grotto. Nice way to cool off without having to go in a pool. We purchased the Thermal Spa week package which was amazing and a great way to unwind. The Howl at the Moon dueling pianos was incredible and Choir of Men is a must see. Aside from the Ferry and the elevators on debarkation day we never felt crowded in. Food is probably the only complaint. I prefer Carnivals food choices. as they have the Taco bar, Guys burgers Pizza pirate and a Fresh Deli. No food really around the pools and the buffet food is not great. We did eat at Modernos which is the Brazilian Steak house. Very tasty and a lot of food. But too many restaurant fees. Shouldn’t have to pay for a decent meal. Every crew member was very helpful and courteous and Never a line at the customer service desk. Bermuda was amazing. Beautiful Island very friendly clean and safe.

Bermuda Cruise by Traci8577

We love Norwegian, however we don't like leaving out of New York. When going on vacation with family, its expensive enough as it is. New York will rape you.

This was my third cruise... by turnerdani18

Sail date: /
Ship: Norwegian Escape

This was my third cruise on the Escape and it’s been an amazing experience every single time! *Long review alert* Feel free to message me with any further questions/clarification of information! NY/Manhattan Terminal: This was our first time going out of the NY port (previously went out of Miami, FL) & we definitely prefer going out of Miami. Some of the workers didn’t seem to fully know what they were doing and we didn’t have much direction of where to go in the terminal. There was an information stand in the terminal for the spa onboard & we purchased our thermal spa suite week passes there for a cheaper price than it would have been onboard (I definitely recommend purchasing at the terminal to save money & makes things less stressful once onboard)! Once we were on the ship everyone was so kind, energetic, and helpful which helped get us excited for the cruise! If you want to see the Statue of Liberty, you’ll need to be on the port side aka the right side of the ship! It’s important to know that the waters are MUCH rougher going out of NY than out of Miami so keep that in mind when booking a cruise out of NY, but coming back from Bermuda to NY was not as rough because the ship is going with the waves instead of against them! Specialty Dining & Shows: One big thing we have learned is to book shows and dinner reservations immediately after boarding the ship if you’re unable to book the exact days/times online that you want before the cruise! We have done the 3 specialty dining package twice now and I highly recommend purchasing it! This year we went to La Cucina, Cagney’s Steakhouse, & Teppanyaki. La Cucina is an Italian restaurant and the food was fantastic (minestrone soup, pesto gnocchi, and filet mignon were wonderful!), we had an 8:30 reservation & were at the restaurant until 10pm so service was kind of slow. Cagney’s is a steakhouse and the filet mignon & desserts (seven layer cake & chocolate fudge brownie) are to die for! The service here took even longer than La Cucina (8:30pm reservations & were there until 10:30pm), but the delicious food made up for the long wait! Teppanyaki is a Japanese hibachi restaurant and you get so much food and it’s all wonderful along with the staff being entertaining & fun! We saw 2 shows this year, Choir of Man & For the Record: The Brat Pack and both shows were AMAZING! The Choir of Man is an additional fee because a three course meal is served (potted cured salmon first course, grilled bangers & mash second course, and bread & butter pudding with eton mess dessert) along with free Newcastle brown ale. The second course was by far the best, but the show is 100% worth seeing even if the menu doesn’t seem appealing! We’ve seen For the Record: The Brat Pack all three times we’ve been on this ship & it somehow gets better and better every year! DO NOT attend this show if you get offended by sexual references or vulgar language and definitely do not bring children! Complimentary Dining Options: Taste & Savor are two of the main dining rooms that have changing menus each night and have a little of everything (the tomato soup was great). O’Sheehan’s is a pub style restaurant that is open 24 hours and has delicious food! The nachos, Coney Island hot dog, and chipotle chicken sandwich are fantastic! The Garden Buffett has so many delicious options, but is usually quite crowded so make sure someone in your groups gets a table/booth while the others get food so you don’t lose your table. The ice cream station, pizza station, burger station, and Asian stations are all tasty! Spa: The Mandara Salon & Spa is STUNNING! All of the workers there are so nice and the thermal suite is for adults only so it’s extremely relaxing! They also offer so many spa treatments that we will definitely be trying on our next cruise. The thermal suite consists of lounge chairs, heated stone chairs, a therapy pool, hot tub, salt room, snow room (yes there is actual snow inside so wear shoes!), steam room, sauna, and sanarium. There’s a locker room with lockers, robes, towels, showers, and vanity area along with amenities in the thermal suite: water, infused water, hot tea, oranges, and more towels. Overall, the NCL Escape is an amazing cruise ship and the onboard activities, all of the crew members, and Bermuda truly made this vacation fantastic!
