Nice review! After our 4th cruise we still prefer the 'vibe' and atmosphere of the smaller ships, but you are absolutely correct about there being more activities and entertainment options on the larger ships. All boils down to person preference. An off-season cruise is ok with a couple of cautions. Sailing out of a Northern port in the early cooler months means there will less people on the pool deck and more inside until the ship gets to warmer climates. Sailing in the fall means an increased risk of having to change ports of call to avoid a tropical storm or hurricane. That being said, we've done both early and late cruises and really enjoyed them both. Glad you enjoyed your cruise!
