Review summary

Great people, great ship, nice stops. Freestyle dining was excellent and provided a lot of flexibility to our trip. The onboard entertainment was excellent.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
A little crowded and chaotic on the bus from the airport. But a little patience paid off.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Freestyle dining is great, nice to have options and not being tied to a particular time for meals. It made each meal feel unique and not an obligation.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Great facilities overall on the ship. However, more needs to be done about people saving chairs all day and not finding an open chair during "sea days".

Entertainment

5 out of 5
First class

Children's Programs

not utilized

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone of the staff was super friendly and the included tips took the stress out of the end of the cruise. The ship was packed, but the staff was first class.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is only a few years old and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The bigger balcony was excellent when the pool deck was too crowded. Could use a few more TV channels on the TV but that's a personal preference.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
No need to send suitcases to the loading dock the night before - it was very chaotic to retrieve the bags then go through customs - just take them with you as you walk off the ship.

Appreciate your details. Sailing during Spring Break is usually a bit crowded and hectic. Glad you enjoyed your cruise in spite of all that.

Spoke to NCL and they said there are only 3 steps you have to use and then the rest of the way you can roll your bags off yourself. Was it a problem getting room in the elevator to get down to disembark?
