Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The entire staff made you feel so welcome. Our housekeeping staff kept our room in perfect condition. It was my husbands 1st cruise and he felt welcomed and was spoiled by the balcony view. LOL I guess ALL our cruises will be balcony view from now on. LOL

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed every activity. My husband learned so much about wine so now he can respect my love for wine. The painting classes were so much fun. Christina was explained every brush move and what was the most important part of our painting. Our details. That is what makes the painting yours.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the entertainment and how they would make room for you even if they were full. They made sure you were at the next time available or you could be stand by.

Children's Programs

Just my husband and I went. Our children are older.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service staff was polite, very helpful and entertaining. You always felt like you were part of a family. you could hold a conversation with the staff or the knew that you wanted time alone.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I am a clean freak so the ship was very clean. The only part I did not enjoy was the smoking part. Even though it was in the casino area it floated to other levels of the ship. I would love for that to be a more closed in area for those of us that don't smoke. I totally avoided that area. You could still smell it on other floors of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved the cabin. I would recommend to anyone to stay at that level and with a balcony. The ship was very steady at that level. I was concerned that my husband would become sea sick. This level the ship hardly moved. The balcony it a wonderful experience for anyone. We left the door open all night to listen to the water and would wake up in the middle of the night to watch the stars and the water.

Ship tip

Make sure that you read the Freestyle Daily. It has all the information you need about what is going on everyday. It also lets you know about what to do at disembarkment.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
I enjoyed each port. My favorite part was the nice cool towel you received on the way back on the ship to help cool you from the day. Each port also had the Island music playing when you got off the ship. It really made you get into the mood of the Island.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic Did not visit port

We stayed on the ship that day to do ship activities.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We enjoyed walking around the island and seeing the animal life. The housing was beautiful in the mountains. The shops were fun to walk through. The water was gorgeous,

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

We loved our driver Teapot! He was very informative about the island and stopped to let everyone in the car take as many pictures as they wanted. He also trusted us to pay him at the end due to we did not have any cash on us at the time. The beach was white and the water was relaxing. The view we had from the beach was like from a movie. It just made you want to stay.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

We went kayaking. Our instructor was very informative and patient with everyone that was in our group. She answered every question and ever let us explore a little bit of the island she took us to. We were never alone. She showed us a starfish, a conk shell and a stingray swam by our kayak. The water was rocky but it did not feel like it. The weather was just perfect. Even though it was a Friday during lent. (I am catholic) There were so many options besides meat. The meat did look delicious I could not eat it. The staff at the Great Stirrup Cay was very polite and helpful.

Disembarkation

I know it happens. My luggage was lost. There were no tags on my luggage. When we put the luggage out the night before with tags they were gone. We had to get out of line to go find our luggage. When we did they made us go to the back of the line instead of letting us get in where we were. We were the last 2 to go through customs. The only thing that saved us was our military ID, Our face was not recognized by the machine,
