Embarkation

Even with long lines, it went smoothly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The FOOD was good. The DRINKS were EXCELLENT.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
ROPES COURSE was pretty cool. Always fascinated w/ engineers who design these things. Three tier course that is a free for all once you're latched in (except for the zip line portions). The WATER SLIDE w/ INNERTUBE is nice. Different colored flashing lights as you slide is interesting. The DROP SLIDES are a rush - just know that you can't have ANY jewelry, ANY camera, ONLY your swimming wear. The green drop slide is faster than the blue one. SPECIALTY DINING is very nice & has a dress code. BARS are everywhere & bar tenders are incredibly knowledgeable. CASINOS are professional - just be aware that some "slot machines" cost more per spin than others. Also, pay attention to the different minimum bet$ to play. For example, one Blackjack Table was $25 while another was $15.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The "CHOIR OF MAN" was an interesting twist on usual performances. Very talented group of men. MAGIC man LEDBETTER, was nice, but the performance felt lackluster. The "tricks" seemed weak (even though much practice I'm sure was involved). It didn't feel very energetic. LEGACY was entertaining & the group very energetic & talented.

Children's Programs

We didn't bring children.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
98% of the staff are very nice, professional, & pleasant. The one time I saw the Master Sheff was in the stateroom hallway & he was grumpy. Treated us like we were beneath him.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Not really interested in any ship's "paint job", but the art work was festive. I like how they pressure washed ship as much as possible whenever in port. Made ship look clean & presentable. Enjoyed knowing that the fishies, on the carpet of state room hallways, face forward. Dishes were quickly gathered & tables cleaned. The layout was doable.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
MARIO was very nice, humble housekeeping attendant, cleaning room daily, replacing towels as desired by guests. The beds are comfortable, the balcony is beautiful, the bathroom is spacious - just watch your step in & out. The room is pleasant despite the conservation of space.

Ship tip

Get a balcony (you'll be glad you did), budget for gambling, bring cash for tips on & off ship, get w/ an agent to help pick out room & best package that suits your needs.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
Easily accessible (I recommend working out shuttle & parking w/ your hotel), the check-in building is large & accommodating. No Excursions at this port.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
Enjoyed this port. Very organized. Easily able to get your passport stamped at his port. Did the WILD TRUCK ADVENTURE. Driver & Guide were very friendly. The Guide was very knowledgeable. The stops were nice, lunch was pleasant, but beach rules were not clear. Swim or No Swim? Fee for chairs?

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

The biggest disappointment was not knowing where to get passport stamped, otherwise everything was fine. TURBO CAT SNORKEL was awesome! The crew was cool, friendly & helpful. Snorkeling was fun & not to restrictive. The return trip was great w/ the flowing drinks.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

4 out of 5
Passport stamp place? VIRGIN GORDA & THE BATHS is very interesting & fun for the most part. The tour bottlenecks at the caves & can be frustrating. It's nice to have done it, but will never do it again.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

4 out of 5
Actually, there is no port. You have to be tendered. Some of the frustration is not knowing about having to make reservations to be tendered & to reserve snorkel gear. The snorkeling area is very large & yields much to explore. For me, the best activity. Being able to use your room card for food & drinks was very beneficial & appreciated.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Self-assist disembarkation was nice, but the crowd flow was disappointing & at one point even confusing.
