We missed two of the main ports of call. It put a big black cloud over the trip. It was for my daughter’s birthday and she missed all her planned activities.

So why were ports missed.......weather? Perhaps the ports missed were for a good or safety reason. Perhaps that black cloud you mentioned that ruined your cruise, maybe if someone died, perhaps that would be considered a black cloud. Missing a port can sometimes be a bummer, but it is never the "end of the world" scenario unlike a tragedy that is for a lifetime. Priorities.
