Review summary

This particular sailing is time consuming venture. 16 days on the ship a very interesting experience. First 9 days were great, because of port of calls. Then 5 sea days in the row in choppy water across Atlantic, not what I had in mind. Due to high wind pools were closed. Lots of good food and entertainment saved the day. Overall cruise was very nice and interesting. Most likely will not do it again.

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
"Barcelona at it's best" is name of excursion we went on. Saw beautiful architectural building from 18th century. Went to people village FIESTA celebration and saw an umbrellas street. (just like one in San Juan Puerto Rica). Visit De Les Divuit Torres basilica. Also visit local food market for compressing in USA. Weather still wonderful 78d-egrees (20C)

Alicante, Spain

5 out of 5
We did "LUCENTUM over Tepas" excursion. Visited archeological dig and walked a lot on street of Alicante to worked up the apatite. Then was "Tepas" lunch, Traditional Spanish food and wine.

Malaga, Spain

5 out of 5
"Granada’s Soul of Andalucía" name of the excursion. Saw another beautiful old church on top of the hill. View of the valley below is amazing.

Cadiz (Seville), Spain

5 out of 5
We did "Let’s Take a Selfie" shore excursion. Stopped at "Piazza del Encarnacion" modern creation. Then was "Piazza De Ispania". Magnificent creation from renascence era.

Lisbon, Portugal

3 out of 5
Here we had some problem with overcast and rain. We should have nice "Heart of Lisbon on Foot & Gloria Funicular" excursion, but it cut short dew to weather. Also long wait for elevator to go down.

Ponta Delgada, Azores

5 out of 5
A wonderful very green island and town in the middle of volcano crater (7km diameter). Lots of cows everywhere. (no need for loan mowing). Big on pineapples and Pinna Coladas drinks (made in freshly cut pineapple). "Explore Terceira Island" excursion provided lots of information about Ponta Delgada.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Very fast and easy. We had to go to airport for an early flight.

Wonderful review. Those 5 sea days are what keep my DH from agreeing to a TA. Great itinerary otherwise. Glad you enjoyed your cruise in spite of the weather.

Glad you enjoyed despite the choppy sea days. Sounds like a transatlantic is not for you. Have heard going across the Atlantic can be rough.
