Overall had a great time. The ship was awesome, weather was awesome, food was awesome, and people on the ship were awesome. I would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone!
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Embarkation was awful. There was no organization at all and people everywhere! Nobody was directing anyone as to where to stand in line. Ended up waiting almost 3 hours to get on the ship. Would not recommend cruising out of Miami again.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was great, restaurants were great too. Very clean and tidy.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We didn't do many activities, but hung at the pool alot. It was very nice and a good vibe.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Musicians were great in the District and Tobacco Lounge. Those were the only ones we attended, but we followed two different musicians each night because we really enjoyed them.
Children's Programs
4 out of 5
My kids are both teenagers, so hung out in Entourage a lot. The only complaint is that there are a lot of hours during the day that they club is closed, so not much for them to do during those times.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
They were all very nice, but one bartender turned out to be our favorite and we visited him each evening. His name was Rafael and he worked mostly in the District.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Extremely clean all around.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Great cabin. The family balcony rooms are a tad bit small for two adults and two teenagers, but it was still very nice. Only complaint is that there is not much room to store our clothes.
Beautiful area. The port area is fairly small, but they are under construction, so they are working to make it bigger. The island it self is gorgeous. Very mountainous and lush.
Loved the day at the private island. My only complaint here is that your food and drink package do not transfer to the island like most private islands, so it became very expensive. We did not do an excursion, but did rent a pool cabana, which was totally worth it.
Out of all of my cruises, Costa Maya is my favorite so far. The port area is awesome with tons of shopping, restaurants, a pool area, and beaches. All at no charge!
Cozumel was very nice. We did an excursion to a Playa Mia for the day and were treated like VIP's. At the resort, all food and drinks were included and we had beach chairs right up at the water.
