Review summary

The entire cruise was mismanaged, it was not ready to sail and yet despite most passengers complaints, we were not even offered a cruise credit, in fact management did not even accept responsibility. Will never travel on NCL.

That's right tatum926. On the smaller ships there's a deal (I don't know what to call it) outside the room where your room number is that you can change it to say different things, like don't disturb, make up room etc.

Going on NCL for the first time i didnt know about the outside light to make up the room or for privacy. Our room wasnt cleaned for the day and i was wondering why so we asked our room steward and he mentioned the switch. Newbie issues. But we asked within a day. Which is what you could have done. And our room was cleaned from that point on. If there was an issue where the boat needed to be cleaned then get it cleaned and disinfected before i get on. I wouldnt want to get sick on my vacation.

It seems most of the negative comments about room service comes from those in the "fancier" rooms. (Not those in the "cheap" inside rooms. What did they call those "poorer" people in the cheap rooms in "Titanic"?) I've been on 5 cruises, all on NCL, the most recent on the Jade 3 weeks ago, and never once have i had any problems with room service or my steward, or stewardess. In fact i named my hero my stewardess, Maddonna, for the cruise. I got a towel animal every day but one, and my room was cleaned up morning and night with clean towels each time, which she didn't have to do, and i think clean bedding each day. It seemed like it any way. And yes i did tip her for it. Maybe y'all should try the "cheap sleeps" for a change.

I don’t believe this for a second. Your cabin wasn’t cleaned until the 5th or 6th day??? That’s crap. We sailed on the Escape in September and our room was cleaned twice a day, every day. In regards to the size of the room, they give the dimensions online but apparently you didn’t do any research prior to sailing. You sound like a whiner that’s just looking for a freebie. Get over yourself and enjoy your vacation. Oh and the cruise lines have no control over US Customs or Boarder Security so that 2 hour line had nothing to do with NCL.

The cruise before them had rhino virus so ship had to be completely disinfected so delays happen. Suck it up and stop bitching

Sounds like a troll to me because I've been on the Escape and any issue we had was addressed immediately.
