Review summary

All and all the cruise was very enjoyable. Staff couldn't do more to make you happy and comfortable. The way they decorated the ship for Christmas was a nice touch. The food in all the complementary and the 4 specialty restaurants we went to were top notch. They were better than some of the finest restaurants at home.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main and specialty dining were outstanding. Buffet was very crowded and very hard to find a seat. However food was good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the pool experience with its music and activities. Fitness center was clean and well equipped.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
"After midnight" was very lively and entertaining. The "Brat Pack" was not a show that appealed to all. I have seen much better. Musicians that rotated around the ship were absolutely great. The "Howling at the Moon" performances were great, especially by getting the audience involved. Guitar player Chelsea Reynolds was outstanding.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

Very attentive to their guests and are willing to make sure you are totally pleased.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Layout and design were well planned. One comment is that the "District" bar should have a sign in the hallway, you couldn't find it unless you went all the way to the end and looked to the left.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Very clean. However the size doesn't provide the freedom of movement. Bathroom was fine. I like the inside room of the "Gem" much better. With no drawers, you are living out of you suitcase. There were ample hanger available to hang some of your clothes. Bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Disembarkation

Self assist is the way to go, if you can. Quick and easy. It was longer to go through the line at customs than getting off the ship.

We went in September and loved it as well....Buffet was a little disappointing but everything else was great. Can’t wait to cruise the Escape again in 2019
