I have been on 15 NCL cruises, so I can say I have experience. And I have definitely experienced many types of personalities from management down to the assistant waiters. I am always pleased at the positive attitude of everyone working on the ship. When I identified issues, management made sure I was pleased with the solution. That's what keeps me returning to NCL. As for the itinerary, I sure would have liked the cruise itself to be extended to see more ports.

Always have a variety of options. However, I did have a couple of occasions to ask what would be served in the buffet, and the assistant maître d never had the answer. One night, I asked the assistant food and beverage director if he knew when the soufflé would be served. He didn't have the info but he found out quickly.

Manny, the Piano Man, was most entertaining. He not only has a wide range of songs, he's also funny. The DJs were excellent, as were the Golden Octaves. On the other hand Island Notes were not at all impressive... the lead singer was frequently pitchy and out of tune. It was painful to listen to him.

I was very pleased with management. There were a few issues with my room that needed attention, and they made sure I was satisfied with the outcome. My room steward needs additional training. She forgot to do some things that are standard items, such as furnishing disembarkation instructions and time change reminder. I intend to write a note to the housekeeping director about this. Inspite of my steward's shortcomings, I will continue to cruise with NCL.

Read about the ship on the NCL website. Study the layout of the ship to avoid unnecessary backtracking. On embarkation day, I was handed a ship's map -- I carried that daily along with my schedule of activities.
You sound very discerning. Your attention to detail is meticulous. You should be a cruise reviewer. If you would like a longer itinerary there are plenty of 10-11 & 14 day itineraries to choose from. Happy Cruising!!! 😊
