Overall the cruise was great. The Escape is a nice ship. There is always something to do on the ship, even if just sitting on the waterfront on deck 8. I like cruising with NCL, and cant wait for my next cruise.

NCL shuttle from MIA to the port was great. The lines at the port were a little long but moved quickly and we were on the ship in no time.

All the food venues were great. No complaints whatsoever on the variety and quality of food.

Pools are always crowded (I dont take a cruise for the pool). Zip-line / ropes course, and waterslides were fun. The spa costs extra but was well worth it.

The comedy show, the dueling pianos, and the brat-pack show were very entertaining.

Size, cleanliness, and comfort....no complaints at all. Love the balcony rooms.
The port has a few nice shops and a bar/restaurant directly as you exit the ship. Excursion pick-up was orderly. I went on the Jolly Roger catamaran cruise/snorkel (includes drinks and lunch on the catamaran). Booked excursion through NCL. Loved it.
We departed with our luggage. Line was long departing ship, and long line at customs. The procedure was not optimum, but I guess it could have been worse. Had to wait too long for the NCL shuttle to fill up before departing to MIA.
Yes, there are several areas on deck 8 that has comfortable chairs to relax. Outside the 5 o'clock bar, and outside the wine bar. I'm sure there are other places that I missed.
