So glad we chose the Escape! Our last 2 cruises on the Getaway and Epic were disappointing with the customer service. We enjoyed NCL on the JADE before that and a previous cruise on the Getaway. We were thinking that we might have to change cruise lines until we were on the ESCAPE ! Who ever is in charge of they Customer Service keep them ! Please work on those other 2 ships ! Looking forward to another cruise on NCL. Made our Anniversary Cruise Special !

As a gold member, I knew that we were not eligible for the priority line, however the person that was directing the passengers apparently didn't know that. She was placing all Lattitude members In that line and stating the people in the other lines were first time cruisers. She did tell us we could go in the other lines if we wanted to. Her boss then came and told everyone they were in the wrong line after waiting in the line for already 20 minutes. Just seemed a little unorganized but the line moved pretty quickly. There were a lot of agents to help which was a plus. Check In Agents were kind and knowledgeable.

The buffets didn't seem to have as good as a selection as on previous cruises, so we only did salads for lunch. Could improve on selection. Cagneys and LeBistro are always Excellent, the service and the food! Need to add Lobster as a choice of Entree. Tempanaki was a little disappointing. The food was a little overcooked, depends on the chef you get. The Table next to us had kids from England and the chef had them take pictures with the hats. The little boy at our table (no relationship to us ) was his first time and got nothing special. Felt sorry for him after he could clearly see other kids were getting special treatment since we were in one area.
Onboard Activities

Fitness center not enough elipticals, too many treadmills. Weight side was good. We would have loved to enjoy the activities around the pool, but as I have said before for this big of a ship there is no room for this many passengers. There are way too many slides and not enough area to enjoy a pool, unless you pay the upcharge to the Haven. Thank you for making the one pool all adult till 5pm every day. Still say some obnoxious 16 yr olds in there dunking each other, that maybe looked 18 but obviously not an adult or didn't act like one. Spice H20 cave area was awesome and really cooled you off. Maybe more umbrellas, liked that touch on the Escape. Thank you for monitoring the deck chairs for people saving them.
Entertainment

Not as impressed with the shows as previous cruises. The profanity should have been eliminated from the Brat Pack Show. There were plenty of 80's moments in all the movies they portrayed without having to use the "F" word. I had no kids with me but saw many in the crowd. Would have like to see more dancing and singing than Acting. Most of the crowd was in their 40s, 50s and 60s and know the plots of the movies they have seen many times. The performers did a good job but wasn't impressed by creation of the show itself. The Comedians, Magicians, Hypnotist and Illusionist were fantastic !

What a difference between this staff and my previous staff on the Epic. The Epic crew was uncaring. The Escape Crew was fantastic ! Every person we had contact with were amazing and friendly ! We only had one of our room stewards for 2 days but the other one that took his place was great. On the Epic we couldn't even get to a bar which was so crowded. We spent most of our time at the Outside It's 5 O'clock Somewhere Bar. Chocolate Cowboy and Tonnie were awesome and called us by name the 1st day we were there and remembered us the whole cruise. "That is Customer Service !" They did a fantastic Show performance at the Bar the last night of the cruise which was awesome. Lorenzo at the Margaritaville Bar was also had great customer service !
Ship Quality

My only complaint " The Main Pool is Too Small" !!! Especially to do all the activities at ! The Spice H20 Area is awesome with the waterfall and love the all Adult Area. Thank you for putting the main pool as all adult till 5pm. Only time I was able to enjoy the pool was when we were in port. Slides are nice but there are way too many ! This is great on maybe 1 or 2 ships for families but lets make a ship that Adults can enjoy, like larger pool areas so some of us can get to see the Pool Activities without stepping on each other trying to see. The rest of the ship is the perfect layout. Escape is my favorite ship so far ! Everything was clean ! Some of the Soap dispensers in the restrooms didn't work correctly.
Cabin / Stateroom

Enjoyed our Balcony ! More than enough places to put your clothes ! Had 2 different room stewards, one had to leave in St Thomas and he was good before he left and the other one that took over was great too.
Ship tip
Go to the "Outside" 5 O'clock Somewhere Bar for your cocktails ! Best Customer Service on the Ship by Chocolate Cowboy and Tonnie !
We were not in a hurry to get off the ship as our flight was not until 2pm. Everything was organized. Don't think it was explained to a lot of people about the luggage being put out the night before. We knew that because of recent cruising but saw a lot of people with their luggage thinking they just had to put the tags on them and go when there color was called.
I'm very happy to hear this! We will be taking our second Norwegian Cruise in January on the Escape! First was the Gem. Gem made us leave Carnival after many years. NCL is just so much better!
We felt the same way about the Breakaway. We went right after the hurricane hit Bermuda and most of they excursions were cancelled. It was very difficult getting money back they were lying to us saying the excursion went out. I was like no the lady told us it was cancelled and money would be refunded automatically that never happened it was a 3 day thing before I was refunded
I think you need to contact NCL directly regarding customer service quality. One or 2 employees who are diligent and skillful can make a big difference in a company.
