Review summary

We were celebrating our 50 anniversary on this cruise and all our family was with us.  The grandkids loved all the waterslides and the ropes course.  The ropes course was not open very much.  If there is wind at all it is closed and there is almost always wind.  Be aware of the evening entertainment.  All of our teenage and adult family members found the After Midnight show to be a little to risqué for our taste.  We saw the show on a cruise in December and there were parts that appeared to be changed this time.  The show The Company Man was fantastic.  Last cruise we say For the Record-The Brat Pack.  This show was particularly offensive in language so none of us went to it.

After doing 3 cruises on Norwegian Escape and Getaway in the last year we will opt for a different cruise line next time that is a little more refined.  Need something a little quieter and more dignified.

The cabin was very comfortable for the two of us. There is more than enough storage space for all our clothes etc. We really appreciated the USB port on the bedside lamps to charge our phones and other tech. There are several electrical outlets on the counter however there is no outlet in the bathroom.

Ship tip

We found the food in the dining rooms was better than the food in the buffet. I enjoyed having my meal made fresh and having someone bring it to me. I found fighting the crowd for food at the buffet then trying to find a place to sit very unappetizing. The specialty restaurants were very good.

We were able to get a cab/van to do a custom tour and beach visit for us at a very reasonable price. There are many available right at the pier. Be sure to see the vehicle before settling on the price. Some were undesirable.

There was only a few hours in Nassau. We opted to walk off the ship and explore on our own just off the pier. Found a glass bottom boat tour with a great tour guide who was knowledgeable about the history, current situation and politics of the Bahamas. Really enjoyed it and the price was very reasonable. Only about 18 people on the boat.
