Review summary

We enjoyed our time on the Norwegian Escape so much that we booked on the Norwegian Bliss to Alaska in June 2018!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
We flew in same day and were in the last group to board. Lines were very long! Lesson learned: arrive the day before and board earlier!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Never had a bad meal....or a bad drink!

The Manhattan Room

5 out of 5

We did eat at Cagneys and had the absolute best steak ever, however the food in the complementary dining rooms was fantastic as well! I did not take photos of dinner at Cagneys.

Garden Café

5 out of 5

Breakfast at the Garden Café day 2. My son's favorite restaurant....The Garden Café!! Always took the back stairwell/elevators and never waited for tables or food.

5 O'Clock Somewhere Bar

5 out of 5

5'Oclock Somewhere became our favorite watering hole...and the chocolate cowboy was by far our favorite bar tender!!!

Savor

5 out of 5

Very friendly waitstaff. No lines. We were seated immediately and the food was fantastic!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5

Sun Deck

5 out of 5

Never crowded. In fact on our second day we had the whole sun deck to ourselves most of the day! Bar at the bottom of the stairs was great too!

Sports Complex

5 out of 5

Under used except for the kids, but my son LOVED going to the sports complex with Splash Academy for afternoon dodge ball

Ropes Course

5 out of 5

We all did the ropes course while the ship was in port. The next day, my husband and son did the ropes course while at sea. My son was fearless and did "walk the plank" every chance he got!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
While i was not impressed with After Midnight and left after about 20 minutes, The Brat Pack was awesome!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My son loved Splash Academy so much he was disappointed when we told him we had excursions planned! His favorite part of Splash Academy was free play in the morning and afternoon and the daily trip to the Sports Complex!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was great! The bar tenders and wait staff were always very friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was very easy to navigate for such a large ship

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had a mini-suite balcony cabin. Layout was typical cruise ship layout. Mini suite bathroom was fantastic! All future cruises with NCL will be mini suites! My son's favorite part: the pullman bunk bed.

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
We did snorkling on the Castaway Girl III. The crew was great! We didnt see many fish, but the shipwreck was pretty cool. We definitely would recommend this excursion.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

4 out of 5
We did the Dolphin Encounter. My son enjoyed meeting the dolphins. We would recommend this excursion.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
We did enjoy our time at the Blue Lagoon beach. The inflatables were a bit sketchy as the water was pretty shallow. We brought our own snorkling gear, but used the free life vests and had some fun on the back side of the island. We missed the big beach on the back side of the island. The food was good and we did have a good time. Nassau is not my favorite port, but this was fun.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Off the ship in no time flat!
