Review summary

We were delayed on our first flight due to ice. Once we arrived in ATL, I called Norwegian and was told that as long as we were at the port by 4pm, we could board. This was a lie. We were there at 345p. Therefore, we had to stay 2 nights in Miami, fly to St Thomas, and then another stay in St. Thomas before we were able to meet the ship. It is VERY costly to feed and board 8 people when you were prepared to be on a cruise ship. You know who at Norwegian cared that all of this happened to us? None of them. Once we were aboard the ship, it was beautiful with a great crew. But, we had different options had we known at 842a in ATL that we would not be allowed to board after a certain time. Definitely not impressed by NCL's customer service!!

I believe your cruise documentation states 2 hours before departure, i.e. 3:00 PM.

WHOA, there feller! How DARE you disrespect my Miami with a "frowny face!" Your stay in the Magic City had NOTHING to do with your decision to IGNORE every tenet of booking a cruise. SUGGESTION: Move to Ft. Lauderdale or Miami. Seems as though you're a little late catching on to the game when it comes to entertainment on ships. Why...I see a trend! Good thing you're Freestyle Cruising--without having to be late to your dinner. Check out my video to find out how old flatulents cruise.

You rated the ship poorly for something out of their control? That's just perfect!

I am traveling with a bunch of freinds. Some of them have been on many cruises. This is my first time. They told me always get to your port a day early. You do not know what the weather will be like at your home airport.

I am sitting in Florida waiting two days for my cruise. It's a fun time. I don't like the tight schedule for boarding ship. Always better to be safe. Sorry to hear your problem. It will be better next time.

you should always plan to go a day ahead of time. I've never cruised with NCL so I can't speak to their service but you can't blame them for your poor planning. You just can't.

We always fly in the day before a cruise. Much less stressful.

I try to get to my embarkation port a day early also. We loved the Escape though and would definitely go again.

Their customer service is poor. However in the winter I always fly out a couple days in advance just because of this.
