Review summary

I am very upset at the service!!!!

I purchased an insurance policy, that included medical insurance.

Norwegian did not have a record for my insurance!

The medical team refused to see me, unless i paid in advance.

That was not the information i was told by Ms, Linda Jacobs!

I am asking for a full refund!

I had a medical issue on a NCL cruise. I paid up front and was reimbursed 100 % by my health insurance upon my return. The medical office provided all the documentation I needed to submit to my insurance company. I actually checked with my insurance company before I left for the cruise just in case so I would know how it worked as part of my cruise preparation.

There's a lot of fine print to read through and I recommend that you read through it all prior to purchasing the policy.

Even when you travel out of state you have to pay up front, then submit a claim.

You didnt think to bring copies of the insurance policy yourself just in case? They only have 4000+ passengers and crew a week to take care of as well.

You have to make a claim thru your insurance company, hopefully you have some receipt from the ship Insurance companies don't notify cruise lines of your insurance. you must initiate a claim asap with insurer

Who did you purchase the insurance through? My understanding is that you still pay up front and then file for reimbursement.

Whoever this Ms Lindale is, she will never see this post. I think most insurance reimburses, doesn't pay for time of service.
