Review summary

This was our second cruise with Norwegian, and it was delightful again. Food was amazing and staff was attentive. The only small complaints I have are that the shows were not as good this time, and the sun-deck chairs get "reserved" quickly and run out quickly. Other than that, great experience.

Very true jets. Never thought of it so simple but true...they made small to get you into buying something. Pool stuff is free.

I used to be a sun worshiper but now that I am older I like to find a place to read a book.  Unfortunately, the larger ships have removed the forward lounges which looked out over the Ocean and were great for reading and relaxing.  Problem with trying to read in the atrium is the constant activities with kids etc.  I get a big kick out of walking past people sleeping in their deck chairs by the pool.  If they want to sleep why don't go to their room and let the sun-worshipers get some sun?  These people lay there for hours like statues.  Everything is for a reason and I think the cruise ships are limiting the size of pool areas to less people so they can get you into more profitable (for them) areas like Art Auctions, Bingo, gambling, etc.  They can't suck the life out of your wallet if you are laying by the pool.

Do you still have to turn in your towels or get charged? When they leave their chairs do they end up getting charged?

Oh there are signs posted all over the deck about "reserving" chairs but I never saw it being enforced. Pretty obvious with chairs covered in towels at 5:00am and still there at 12:00pm

I thought they had a policy of removing towels etc after a certain time on the Escape now ?

If someone leaves a towel on a chair unattended for an extended period time I will remove it and I have no problem doing that. That is ridiculous. We are all adults, if you are done using something let someone else have a turn.

I didn't find them to be good and the fact you have to be reserving them is a mission

klcarr    8 years ago

The shows were awesome...even the complimentary ones!

glennasuz    8 years ago

I found a chair with nothing on it and sat down and a lady came over and asked me if I had moved her towel.

The comedy clubs were in little rooms and would get super booked

I went on the getaway in the third week and the shows sucked and u had to reserve them. Only good thing was a paid magic/dinner show My mom and I were bored since she doesn't club.

Basset. If that long I agree. Over hour...case closed

glennasuz    8 years ago

Ya, I had people that had multiples saved and they would switch so they got the best sun. So greedy!

Next time I crusie and there's just a towel on the chair..I'm going to remove it...I sat by a chair all afternoon with a book n towel n the person never came back there...

huntersh2    8 years ago

Sleep in it...hmmmm may try that

glennasuz    8 years ago

Agreed, it would nice if you could sleep in and still get a chair. That would be a vacation.

That's about the only thing that pisses me off with any cruise not just Norwegian. people up at 5:00 am out throwing their towels on the chairs.
