Review summary

The Escape is a lovely ship. Beautifully decorated but overall the staff was unfriendly and cold. Clarence the bar attendant at Margaritavile was great, Erroll the assistant cruise director was awesome and Jose the bar manager was great as well but unfortunately we didn't find the staff to be helpful or friendly. There was a long wait for the complimentary restaurants and we were unable to get a reservation at the specialty restaurants even though we had a dining package. The specialty restaurants were all booked for the entire cruise on day 1 at 1pm. The water slide and rope course was awesome. Overall I was a bit disappointed especially since this was a new ship.

We were extremely disappointed that members of our party was unable to get a reservation at a specialty restaurant even though they had the dining package. The restaurants were all filled by day 1 at 1pm. Also, there was a long wait at the complimentary restaurants.

Unfortunately, we did not find the staff to be very friendly. There were a handful of individuals who were very nice but overall the staff did not go out of their way to be helpful. Usually staff members say good morning, good evening, how are you doing today but it just felt extremely cold and unwelcoming. Our room attendant was great, Clarence the bar attendant was great, Erroll the Assistant director was great and I believe the bar manager's name is Jose and he was great.

tlander we had been on the Getaway the year before and had a very good time. This past November we were on the Escape and of it wouldn't have been for the Getaway we wouldn't be going back to NCL but we are going to give them another try in 2016 on yet a different ship. if it don't go any better we will also be searching for another cruise line as there are many to choose from as you know.

I can't say that I was disappointed but I can say that it was not a relaxing cruise...I will rate it at 7 out of 10....not sure if I will go with NCL again....also hope other cruise companies don't go the same way as NCL

You can make reservations 90 days before the cruise.
