Review summary

I'm looking forward to next year's conference on aboard the Carnival Vista.  We weren't really that happy with Norwegian.  The ship itself was beautiful but all of the surcharges weren't really called for considering the the cost the passenger pays for the cruise.  The only quite place we found was in our cabin.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

I did not like that some of the alternative restaurants were ala carte pricing.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Staff at Robert Mondavi's totally ignored us so we got up and walked out.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship was clean but extremely noisey. Also cigar and cigarette smoke mid ship kept us out of that area.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
The bathroom (shower) was fantastic. There was really no storage in the cabin. Very disappointing for a mini-suite.

Ship tip

Very expensive. A glass of wine cost approximately $8.00 per glass. They charge a corkage fee if you bring a bottle of wine on board for consumption in your cabin.

I just did this cruise as well and was unimpressed. Beautiful ship, terrible customer service. Spent most of my time in line at guest services. Key card trouble everyday. Kids running everywhere, through halls, yelling in elevators, in adult only jacuzzi's, pool areas, casino etc. Slides shut down. NCL is sinking fast.

That coming from a 14 year old means a lot since I'm in my 50's and felt that way too. We purchased the 7 day dining package and got screwed on one night after they gave us reservations and didn't honor them. They closed the for on us because they didn't know what to do. Very ride and updating since we paid for a meal we didn't even get because of them. Not even a credit.

I just got off the escape this morning. I was expecting much more from NCL's biggest and newest ship, I am only 14 years old and I also think that they did a poor job of seperating the kids from the adults the kids were extremely annoying and LOUD! NCL definitely tried to hard to fit as many restaurants as they could so this took away froma extra lounge areas and just more space in general. I passed by many specialty restaurants every night and I saw almost nobody eating at any of them.

4200 people on board. Quiet isn't likely to happen

Probably referring to the surcharge restaurants and the dinner show you have to pay to get into.
