Review summary

We sailed on the brand new Escape's first inaugural cruise out of Miami.

The ship was fabulous! It was new, modern and had all of the hi-tech luxuries you would expect a new ship to have.

The main dining room food as well as the buffet food was much better than then my previous Getaway cruise. The beds were comfy, the fridge was cold, the Casino was large and the Freestyle dining was the best!

There is always activities going on, trivia, music, games, shows and of course the water park.

The only reason I gave this a 4 out of 5 was because it was the inaugural 7 day and the racer slides weren't working, our room steward was not attentive and the smoke in the casino was pretty bad. ( I have read they are already trying to fix that with a wall though)

This is a must do!

Ship tip

The new District was great. They offer beers on tap, live music with comfy seats with ocean window views. Also, during football season, they show the games on the large screen.

We did the inaugural transatlantic cruise and the casino was no smoking, I can imagine it being unpleasant due to the location of the casino it would have put us off

Surprised me how not so grand the atrium is. The stairway is very narrow and dangerous for such a big ship. Glass steps that are narrow. We took the elevator for fear of falling with our heals on.

I could not walk through the center of the boat without being sick from all of the smoke. This was the first cruise that has ever been a problem for me. Beautiful center piece chandelier that I got one picture of because I could not stand to be in that area.
