Don't see what you're looking for?

A: this is true for all cruise lines. only smoke in designated areas of the ship and never during bunkering (ship fueling).

Answered by DACruiser57 on April 29, 2024

A: No. Absolutely not. Only permitted in smoking areas. First, it’s a safety issue. Second, your neighbors don’t want to smell your smoke. If you’re caught, you will be reported to ship security.

A: I do not recall a time limit from my last NCL cruise, but if you do try to get 2 transactions say within 5 minutes, they may question you, unless you drink them in front of the bartender.

Answered by DACruiser57 on April 9, 2024

A: There is no time limit, but if you try to get more right away from the same bar, they probably won't let you because they know you are obviously trying to get someone else drinks for free!

A: Yup. I was in the casino for a while last night and my clothes reek of cigarette smoke.

Answered by mike198617 on March 3, 2024

A: Yes, the smoking section is not enclosed as in Norwegian Joy. There were few smokers at the casino than the deck above the pool.

Answered by Wanderer4life on February 27, 2024

A: people do smoke. there's a smoking section and it is so bad when you walk through. it's just horrible. I have to walk so fast on any ship

A: I just got off the Escape yesterday. When you get onboard, go directly to the box office on deck 7 and book your reservation for Choir of Man and get you tender ticket if you don't have an excursion.

Answered by crusin4gramma on March 3, 2024

A: On our cruise you got a tender ticket the day of arrival at the port. Or if you are gold/platinum you could just go whenever you’re ready to get off the ship when they call available tenders

Answered by Soon2bfitmomto6 on February 27, 2024

A: I didn't think you could reserve it early, from my experience you reserve your ticket I believe the day before.

Answered by Paris87541 on February 24, 2024

A: I booked mine on embarkation day.

Answered by kjoelle on February 20, 2024

A: You have a choice of doing it on embarkation day. Last time, we didn't even do it but just went on without reservations. Belize, Grand Cayman, and GSC. They gonna allow no matter if you make reservations or not.

A: I buy Allianz every year. We travel alot and it is far better than others and covers both of us for every trip for the entire year.

Answered by crusin4gramma on February 7, 2024

A: The insurance offered by cruise lines is generally not very good. I recommend using aardy.com as they will give you quotes from several different companies and you can compare coverage to figure out what works best for you. The prices are reasonable... and you get much better coverage.See More

Answered by Jerrec on February 7, 2024

A: Allianz! It’s a good bit cheaper with more coverage.

Answered by MandyAnn85 on February 8, 2024

A: There are many websites. I use insuremytrip dot com and type in my travel parameters to get different options. Had to use it last year for a trip cancelled due to riots at my destination, and I got back all my money.

Answered by jpmato16 on February 8, 2024

A: and keep in mind even if you spend more on the outside ins it gives you a whole lot more benefits than the cruise line offers.

A: Yes, then I would say #2 would be better for you. just my opinion 😉

Answered by crusin4gramma on January 27, 2024

A: we have been to all but I like #2, go to The Baths in Tortola, absolutely amazing, we go on Escape in 55 days but out of Cape Canaveral.

Answered by rbobl on January 28, 2024

A: I just had to make this choice. I went with 1 as the port times are far more reasonable. You don't get long in Tortola at all on 2.

Answered by elektravel on January 28, 2024

A: we've been on #1 a few times, did #2 last March. Definitely #2 in our opinion. Happy sailing.

Answered by ASYoung on January 27, 2024

A: I have been to all! Going on #2 on the Escape in 28 days. I would say, if you like to snorkle or dive then #1 is the better option. Otherwise #2.

A: from what I recall, the coffee served on NCL is horrible BUT you can buy Starbucks if you want a "better" cup of coffee. Pre-covid, single brew coffee pots used to be a standard feature in all suites.

A: No you don't. Just beware that if you are trying to upgrade from say an oceanview to a balcony, you will most likely get an obstructed view balcony with like a lifeboat in the way! It's still an upgrade pursay. but not a great one! Don't expect mu... ch if you win a bid unless you bid on a suite! Just want you to be aware.See More

Answered by crusin4gramma on September 27, 2023

A: You have no say it’s a upgrade but you have no choice of the room you may not even k ow until a couple days before. I like know my room no matter the upgrade that’s why don’t take part in that.

Answered by longisland on September 27, 2023

A: Nope

Answered by Mapcruise on October 15, 2023

A: You have no say in what room. You can only bid on the class of room. Also know that when you bid, your bid may not be accepted until after the ship has embarked, which means you unpack, then pack, then unpack again. You will also have to go to the se... rvice desk, stand in line, and have another card made, as they void the card once your bid is accepted. If your bid is accepted, and you don’t like your new room, you are stuck. No refunds, no do overs. I always suggest just getting the best room that your budget allows when you book. Nobody wins in a bid, unless you have bid beyond the value of any specific room.See More

A: NCL is more casual but they usually have a formal night for those that want to dress up. Many people do. Many don't. That's the best part about NCL in my opinion. Dress how you want, eat when you want. Truly freestyle. And I'm on the Escape to Bermud... a in November as well. I've never been to Bermuda but we have rented a Twizzy for a day to go throughout the island on our own.See More
