Onboard Activities

Oversold. Overcrowded. Most venues required a reservation or to line up an hour before the show. The Howl at The Moon dualing pianos were amazing. The talent of the musicians was phenomenal. They played over 3 hours. They played requests by memory without relying on any aids.

Ship Quality

Design is clumsy. Ceilings are low. Lots of dark space. They funnel everyone through the Casino. Unable to take forward elevator to deck five formal dining. You’re required to get off on deck six and take a non working escalator down to deck 5. No dedicated cabin bathroom. Individual sliding door on the right is the head. Opposite sliding door is shower. The sink is opposite the bed, so water splashes onto the floor and the bed. My shower had been repaired with a Rubbermaid matt and duct tape. The floor in the BR and shower is terribly flimsy, it feels like it will give way. Thus the repair prior to my arrival. There is no sister ship for good reason!

Ship tip

Avoid holidays and high season. Oversold and overcrowded!

Ports of call

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

So very crowded with limited space. 2 ships were visiting. I estimated over 3000 souls crammed into the tiny island. It felt like being in Times Square on New Year’s Eve. Took over 30 minutes in line to order a drink. I gave up and went back to the ship. Our ship 4000 , the other ship 3,000. The tenders are nice and very efficient

Wow...the taped down mat in the shower says a LOT. I've never seen anything like that on a ship before. Thanks for your review.

I understand capacity is based on 2 person per cabin. I’m sure plenty had 3 or 4. I was on Joy in October , it was a pleasure.

If the ship was oversold, that would mean that people were left at the port with high out cabins. They don’t oversell. It can be over capacity, as that is based on cabins at double occupancy, but they are not the same thing.
