Review summary

I strongly advise people to think long and hard about cruising while restrictions due to covid are in place. You have to be tested several times for the cruise by cruise personnel. Ports are closed. Bars are restricted with no seating at the bars. More difficult for socializing. This is the only cruise I've taken out of over a dozen with different cruise lines that I didn't enjoy at all.

The employees on cruise ships overall are excellent, always.

Ship Quality

Epic only has elevators fore and aft. Nothing in the middle. Ship was very clean

Cabin / Stateroom

It was much smaller than I expected. The bathroom and shower were separated and very tine, with a sink outside in the cabin. A small sofa, which junked up the room.

Ship tip

If you are elderly or have difficulty with walking make sure you are in the fore or aft section of the ship as it is a long walk to elevators as in my case, in center oof ship after I had asked for a room convenient to elevators. Ship wasn't even half full so I am sure they could have complied.

It's a great view of the ocean but really there is nothing to see except small white houses or the ocean. Was very disappointed, while many others of the cruise enjoyed it immensely.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

4 out of 5
One would need days not hours to see all the interesting places in Rome.

Disembarkation

I couldn't get a flight until the next day so I took the six hour tour and was dropped off at the airport where I took a cab to my hotel.
