Review summary

I was disappointed, as this was the first cruise for my daughter. There were little to no kids her age (18-21) and little to no activities for this age group. They catered to the younger and or older groups. I did not hear ONE person say anything positive about the ship itself. My daughter said she never cares if she goes on a cruise again. Very disappointing, as I wanted it to be a good first experience for her, as I have sailed a half dozen times.

Embarkation

Fairly quick process. Luggage was delivered in an expedient fashion.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Really enjoyed the FREESTYLE dining. Food was good quality, however not much variety. Main dining rooms were very nice. Service was so-so. Some staff were exceptional others not attentive at all. Did not visit the specialty restaurants, but did visit the Irish Pub and the Noodle bar. Enjoyed both. One positive, with only two people, we never had more than a 5 min. wait to eat.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Spa was very nice, however, would like the option to use for a "day" or few hours, not just entire cruise. Pools were VERY small and overcrowded. There was no real area to just "sit" on the edge of the water. You need more space like that. You have full tile areas around the pool, make use of it with shallow water and/or seating. Fitness center was nice, but you had limited classes and you had to PAY for all of them.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great comedians! Loved the dueling piano bar. The only feedback I have is that with a full ship, you run out of seats and viewing/participation options.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Some was excellent, others were poor. This was the common theme heard and shared by many passengers.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
The ship was clean and well maintained. Signage was terrible. Lay out was terrible, audio was terrible. Communication was also poor. If you did not FULLY read your daily newsletter you were in the dark about many things. (tendering, luggage, time change for port)

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Very small cabin, with a crazy lay out. No "true" bathroom. Do not travel on this ship if you are concerned about mixed company and having privacy in the bathroom/shower. I will say that things were very clean however. This was the common theme from almost every passenger I spoke with.

Ship tip

Not easy to navigate and do not sail if you do not like ship "movement".

Ports of call

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

4 out of 5
Enjoyed excursions, but island and port itself does not have much. We had too much time here.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

4 out of 5
Definitely need more time at this stop. Did not have time to do hardly anything. Shops don't open till 10:00 so being there at 7:00 is not helpful if you are not doing excursions.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

3 out of 5
They need to serve food longer. By the time we got to the island and walked around a little, we had not time to eat and they had stopped serving food. Also - it was Good Friday and they had little to no NON-MEAT options.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
This was the worst disembarkation experience I have ever had. The majority of folks did not know about luggage. It was a complete cluster!

There were kids everywhere on this sailing. We met quite a few in your daughter's age group trying to get drinks from the bar, unsuccessfully. Maybe that's why she didn't get to meet them. Lol
