I had a good time overall as it is what you make of it. Norwegian needs to overhaul their app, needs more organization on embarkation and disembarkation process. Staff needs more help at the limited bars and a full ship. The ports were great and easy to get around in.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
If I could give a zero I would. Crowds of people waiting in the sun and no line organization. It was a free for all when they finally started the wording process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Food was good but it was extremely hard to get a drink. The bar tenders were unfriendly and very unmotivated.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Went to the adult pool only to not be able to find a chair which I new might be a problem but the staff needed to be more proactive in not letting people hold chairs for hours. Also found it very strange that you couldn't have a drink in your hand if you were just sitting with your feet in the pool or in the pool either. Basically if you didn't have a chair don't drink. The adult pool bar was over run with kids ordering their virgin blended drinks which meant you were waiting for 20 minutes to get a drink.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Saw 3 comedy shows they were all very funny but noticed that even though the show was 18 and older there were still kids in there.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
The only person that was happy was the greeter at the cafe. The rest of the staff never smiled but did greet you. They looked over worked and disgruntle.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The Epic is an older ship and you can tell
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
I found the bed to be hard but thats how I like it. The cabin is what I expected.
Ship tip
Don't book in March or early April spring break very apparent.
Loved all of the ports very beautiful. However when I book my next cruise I will make sure one of the ports is not owned by the cruise line. Just to many people on 1 tiny island.
Again here we waited 2.5 hour in the sun for our bus transfer we booked through Norwegian. No organization no water while you waited. Next time I will book my own ride back through a private carrier.
