Review summary

We had a lovely time on our cruise. We chose to make our cruise a fun and happy one. We were disappointed with most of the staff and the condition of the boat. It is a shame that with such a beautiful boat and wonderful places to visit that the Staff was not more pleasant and happy to be around. In addition after asking staff members questions and getting different answers from each one it would be more helpful if staff was more knowledgeable about the happenings on and around the boat.

The food in the restaurants was amazing, we enjoyed it immensely. However almost every reservation we had, We were told that they had never received them, although we were able to show proof that we had made those reservations, the hostesses were extremely rude and continued to explain how they were doing us a favor by letting us eat in this restaurant. Completely and totally unexceptional behavior.

This was the best restaurant we went to. Our chef was amazing. His name was Jefferson and he was entertaining, friendly, happy and overall enjoyable to be with as well as an amazing chef. We were so very very happy we went.

The Manhattan Room

The food was wonderful, we started off the night on an extremely bad note. The hostess and manager of this restaurant told us we didn’t have reservations even after we proved that we did. In addition the hostess made a comment to us that was extremely unacceptable. She said and I quote “I will do you a favor this time but you need to have reservations the next time.” This insinuated that we were lying even though we had a copy of our reservation. She was rude and disrespectful and that started our night off extremely bad. The customer service at this restaurant was horrific and I have to admit the customer service throughout the ship was just as disrespectful unfriendly. I will admit that this was shocking and extremely disappointing to me. I wish I could say this was anisolated incident but it was not, it happened the majority of the time.

Onboard Activities

We mainly sat at the pool when on the ship. My biggest complaint was that there were never enough chairs for everyone on the ship. People were going out early and saving chairs and never coming back to use them, this was extremely frustrating as one day we had no chairs at all and the other day I too had to go out at a 6:45am just to save chairs for us.

This was ultimately my biggest complaint. The majority of the staff on the ship were not friendly nor were they helpful. At times they were extremely nasty and to me disrespectful. For instance after saying good morning to one of the pool deck staff members, I asked him how his day was going and he proceeded to put his thumb up and quickly turn it down as to say it was a horrible day. This annoyed me and disgusted me that not only was it only 7:30am, But I would expect the staff to be happy and pleasant to their customers. I wish I could say that this my only negative experience with staff but it wasn’t. This showed collectively the attitude most of the staff members on the ship.

The ship it’s self was absolutely beautiful. As for the cleanliness and well-maintained aspect that was A different story. The carpet in our room was dirty and peeling up. The shower in our room was broken and had to be fixed during our time on the boat. The elevators did not work all the time. There were buttons on the elevators that were not working and were never fixed during the entire stay. The bathrooms were dirty and no one was in there to pick up paper on the floor or clean up the toilets when people had made a mess. This truly was disappointing to me as the ship was beautiful and extremely well decorated, but not well-maintained.

Ship tip

Be prepared to have to stand up for yourself and Bring a copy of all reservations so that you can prove you have reservations for excursions as well as reservations at their restaurants on the Boat.

The people were wonderful, friendly and happy. The shopping was great as well as the food and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed Saint Thomas .

I will say the private island was very nice. There were plenty of chairs for people to sit in and the water and beaches were beautiful. The one thing I will say is that there was not enough help coming around to people in the chairs to order drinks.

Disembarkation

This experience was amazing. Getting off and going through customs with just a face recognition was quick efficient and an awesome way to disembark.
