Review summary

This was our first cruise. We were with a party of eight. Other than making the best of the trip with our friends, it was the worst vacation I have ever been on. Way overrated and very expensive. Too many hidden charges. We felt like we had been lied to from the get go. This experience ruined my desire to ever take another cruise again.

Embarkation

The process could have been more organized. Too many people housed in the boarding building with no access to the outside when boarding was delayed. No food or drinks provided

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Other than the specialty restaurants the food was average at best. There is no Seafood offered such as Lobster, crab, shrimp anywhere on the ship. Hard to believe a Caribbean cruise offered no seafood! Other passengers complained as well stating other cruise lines offered Lobster and crab unlimited everyday. Also, if you don't eat by 10:00 pm there is no food available anywhere worth eating. You are not allowed to take food to your room, the say due to possible diseases but you can order room service for a fee. My husband couldn't even get milk for the evening!

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
The ship has no real pools, Little baby pools at best. The ship was too crowded with kids to get access to any activities. There was one small section for adults only during the day but offered no music or activities for the adults. They called it the "Quiet space" Really? Adults spent the money to go on the cruise to unwind and enjoy themselves. My friend even tried to play music from their phone, everyone cheered and the staff told him to turn it off!

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Could not get into any shows due to all shows sold out too soon. There was no DJs in the adult section. Only music was located in the section of the ship which was inundated with teenagers

Children's Programs

Did not have kids with me

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Bartenders were good when you could actually get a drink. There was not enough staff to accommodate the amount of people on board. Room steward was minimal at best. Most he did was make our bed and replace a few towels. Staff was not that friendly overall. The Internet Manager was down right rude. We were charged with bogus internet charges and tried to straighten out bill and he would not work with me.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Poor design and layout. Basically the top deck if one big water slide. Not enough space on top, pools are the size of a kidding pool, not enough chairs for adults

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Poor design of cabin, the sink is in the way of the room, the draw next to the sink was held on with tape, the water temperature in the shower was scalding hot, had to call maintenance to fix. There was not real cold water in the room. The steward did not provide any perks or personal touches. Room was never vacuumed. Basically bed was made and a minimal set or towels were placed in the room. Our soap dispensed was never replenished. I eventually had to ask for soap

Ship tip

Don't go. Get a refund if you can.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

The cruise line should consider removing this stop. The island has not recovered from the hurricane from 2017 and might not ever. Unfortunately the island is struggling. I know what it looked like prior to the hurricane and now it looks like a war zone.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

1 out of 5
The ship is not in port long enough to enjoy St. Thomas. It is basically a big tourist trap. I walked into one jewelry store and I could barely get out of there. I thought they were going to hold me hostage.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

1 out of 5
Not enough activities, cabanas. Excursions sold out too fast. Not enough chairs. The space is too confined.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Best part of the cruise is the day we got to get off the ship and even that was not organized well.
