Review summary

Yes, things happen - understood. What is unforgivable is the delay in notification of altered embarkation and itinerary. I would certainly have cancelled the cruise if I had not already flown to Florida - would have been a good idea anyway after my experience. The incident that caused the problem occurred on Tuesday, notification was on Friday - the afternoon before scheduled embarkation. We did not go to any of the ports scheduled - only Nassau (which was not originally scheduled). A friend was tracking the ship via GPS and the last "fun day at sea" we went in circles apparently to prolong the trip so NCL would not have to refund any more money. Speaking of refunds...we were told that we "would be contacted" regarding refunds - still has not happened. There is at least an hour wait when calling NCL to ask questions and their email states a 15 day response. Sure didn't take that long for them to take my money! Generally poor customer service from Guest Services.

The room steward, Jayson, was excellent as were many of the other crew. However...encountered numerous crew members who were rude. One person can affect the entire experience. There also was a problem with a general lack of knowledge on the part of the crew members even with simple questions and directions.
