Review summary
My wife and I went on this cruise with another couple and had a nice, relaxing time! We arrived before 12:00 pm and had to wait about 30 minutes to get through security and get checked in. We booked a couples massage the first day and really enjoyed that. The spa staff were really nice. We also booked a day pass at the thermal spa and enjoyed the peace and quiet of that area. Again, the spa staff were terrific. Other staff areas, housekeeping, waiters, etc, were friendly and went out of their way to make your vacation enjoyable. There was only one bartender who couldn't keep up with who was next and I ended up walking away from that bar.
The food in the specialty dining rooms was fantastic, you never left hungry. The breakfast was great in the dining room as well. Food on the buffet was good but not great. Seemed to be a lot of people always around the buffet. Didn't enjoy those times.
The dueling piano and comedy shows were good. Didn't really understand why you had to have reservations for everything on the ship. I guess it was due to the size of the ship. Enjoyed the last day on the pool deck (claim your lounge chairs early), soaking up the sun and having fun on the slides! Even though it was crowded on the pool deck, we still enjoyed the day.
Getting off the ship was a piece of cake since we carried all our luggage on and off. We were pack in our car and on the road by 8:00am. We would definitely cruise with NCL again but we are keeping the door open to other cruise lines as well. We have been on Carnival and Princess. We would like to try Royal Caribbean next.

Ship tip
Big ship, lots of people in common areas (buffets), pool decks, etc. Try the extras like the specialty dining and spa areas. Not as crowded and you can relax and enjoy your vacation.
