Review summary

While the ship was well appointed it lacked the necessary staff to properly handle the number of passengers.  In addition common spaces in lounges and bars were insufficient, despite their number, to accommodate the crowds especially in the after dinner hours.   Dining experience in the dining room was good for those of us who made our reservations in advance.  Portions were larger then those on other cruise lines although many choices were repeated.   The Garden Cafe was overcrowded and it was extremely difficult to find seating.  Entertainment was good but the variety of shows was limited.  This was our second sailing on Norwegian Cruise and doubt we would ever return again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Large portions but limited choices which were repeated throughout the week. Needed more variety. Additional charge for Cagneys was not worth the price

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Limited and a number of them required an upcharge. In addition insufficient room to participate in the activities.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Entertainment was average. The fact that one had to book in advance for a show was cumbersome Public spaces and the alleged 22 lounges and bars were not sufficient to accommodate the number of passengers on the ship. In many instances we were unable to find any seating available in same.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Staffing was adequate at best. The absence of a sommelier was a clearly a negative.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
While the cabin was very spacious, the lighting was poor and made it difficult to complete simple functions especially in the evening hours. Curtains had to remain open during the day for additional light.
