We are so happy with how the cruise turned out. The ship was about half capacity which we know was a treat and not to expect that on such a large ship in the future. Food was great, specialty dining was fine but not a necessity to have great food. The cabin we had was smaller than any other we’d had on other cruise lines. First time on Norwegian, past cruises on Carnival, Princess and Royal.

Very fun cruise that we felt safe on after the pandemic. It was only at 35% capacity so we may have gotten spoiled a bit! :)

We love NCL; this cruise was a bit hectic. We were supposed to be on the Epic, then the Joy, which was canceled. We planned this very fast, and I am so glad we did! I loved the Encore!!! The Escape was always my favorite, but I think the Encore actually topped it! It was due to a few upgraded venues. Onda was amazing; the galaxy pavilion was fun. Starbucks!!! All together, it made a great trip 😀

Great cruise after waiting for 2 years to sail. Felt safe the whole time. The crew did an amazing job of keeping the ship spotless. Would highly recommend this cruise and Norwegian Cruise Lines.

To set the background for my review, I want to note that this was our 9th cruise on Norwegian Cruise Lines, and our 21st cruise overall. My wife and I have cruised over the Christmas/New Years' holiday sixteen times. In general, we really enjoyed this cruise and the NCL ship Encore. It felt great to get back to doing something we really enjoy. The NCL staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We really enjoyed the limited number of guests. We were told the total number of guests was less than 2800 with 1700 crew. Anecdotally, guests were told that 38 guests had double-positive Covid tests and were not allowed on the ship. The CDC Website indicated that the ship was in Yellow status, but there did not appear to be any issues with the passengers. NCL did a terrific job of managing safety aboard the ship. Due to the increase in Covid cases in the US, masks were required in all indoor public areas. This included the gym, walkways, elevators, and entertainment venues. Masks were required to enter eating locations, but guests were allowed to take masks off for the duration of their meal. Of course, they were not required in staterooms or outdoor areas. In general, the vast majority of passengers followed the guidelines. The NCL crew was very polite about reminding guests who forgot to put masks on and they had extras for those who accidentally forgot their make when they left their cabins.

Reduced passenger count made this one of the best cruises we've been on. Glad to be back cruising.

Norwegian is our favorite cruise line and we have experienced about all of them.

It was awesome with the reduced capacity. Staff excellent. Best group ever.

One of my best cruise experiences, such a fun week on an amazing ship.

The trip was wonderful. Traveling to Alaska has its disadvantages but all in all it was beautiful. The glaciers we saw was beautiful. So close.

Food was great, entertainment was great and the crew was extremely nice! Wished we had taken an earlier cruise, with it being the last one to sail and late October a lot of excursions were not available because they were closed for the season.

Our last couple days on the ship were comprised of rough seas - 28 ft waves - and hurricane force winds - in excess of 75 mph. Ship was rocking and rolling up high. Bridge slowed our progress for safety purposes and we were a couple hours late getting into Seattle. Lots of folks were not eating much and looked a bit green, but even on Deck 15, we were just fine. Great job navigating us through the storms! And we've now got a great sea story to add to our repertoire ...

This was an awesome experience and have put down deposits for 2 more. Alaska was beautiful and I could not have asked for such a family and accommodating crew. I would encourage everyone if they can to take a cruise on the Norwegian. Loved it
