Review summary

We are so happy with how the cruise turned out. The ship was about half capacity which we know was a treat and not to expect that on such a large ship in the future. Food was great, specialty dining was fine but not a necessity to have great food. The cabin we had was smaller than any other we’d had on other cruise lines. First time on Norwegian, past cruises on Carnival, Princess and Royal.

Jumped into a tour van after leaving the port area. Charles was great! Took us all around the sights in just over an hour, we specifically asked to not stop at any tourist sales pushy places. Only sights and a couple photo stops. We knew we had a full beach day at Stir-Up Caye so didn’t book beach tour here but heard the beaches were beautiful from others.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Booked St. John’s catamaran. Not the best catamaran tour we’ve taken, but not bad. Food provided was cheese and crackers, fruit. You can choose to snorkel or dingy to the beach. No food or drink available on the beach. We were parched but no water.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

Booked a tour van after getting off the ship, 7 of us in our group. Rum factory was neat. $20/person.
