Entertainment was outstanding, but prefer the NCL Escape as a ship!
Embarkation

Even with all the extra measures in place for Covid, everything went surprisingly smooth.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food is always pretty good on NCL. Surprise favorite was the appetizer Bang Bang Shrimp which was at Ocean Blue. It was delicious! Another favorite of my husband’s was the green tea desserts- pound cake and the cheesecake - which were found on the Observation Deck’s snack area.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
I tend to find general onboard activities during the day kind of lacking. On the Encore, the go-kart track and laser tag take up such a large area of the top deck and virtually no one was using it. Same thing with the Galaxy pavilion. My husband is a gamer and even he wasn’t interested. There are so many better options to utilize this space onboard! The novelty seems to have worn off.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
All of the stage shows are beyond fabulous. Can’t say enough good things about Choir of Man. Seriously awesome. But my favorite by far was The Beatles Invasion. Granted, I am a huge Beatles fan, but they were absolute perfection! Could not get enough of them!
Ship Quality

If you’re looking for a quiet and comfy space with both snacks and a bar… DECK 15 OBSERVATION LOUNGE IS THE PLACE TO BE! My husband and I couldn’t get enough of this area. Perfect place to sit and read. Great views and delicious snacks!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We were in the club balcony this time and if you have a longer trip, I find it totally worth the extra bathroom space!
Ship tip
Don’t miss The Beatles Invasion shows and hit up the observation lounge!
Holy guacamole! This place is one of the scariest places to be on the road. We took a safari taxi to the beach at Beef Island (which was fine) but the ride to and from was like a rollercoaster! If you’re not a fan of crazy drivers, steep hills, and/or heights, you may want to stick near the port.
The only reason to take the Skyride is for the photo opportunities at that elevation. The Pirate museum connected to it was not great unless you really have a history buff in the group.
