Review summary

Alaska was AMAZING!! Literally breathtaking! Definitely going back but on a longer cruise. We felt that there just wasn’t enough time in the ports. Would definitely try a different ship.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We decided to buy the priority upgrade. The money was worth it, however, it was still VERY crazy outside on the sidewalk… there HAS to be a better way!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Not crazy about the BBQ place.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Pool was small, didn’t do the raceway, virtual reality or laser tag. Seemed much more geared towards teens. Spa was overpriced

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Unable to get tickets for shows. Sold out even though some people we talked to went twice.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Very nice and helpful staff. Our room steward remembered our names after one day!! Felt rushed during specialty meals.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Clean and well maintained common areas. Felt like the layout was disjointed. Other cruises we have been on were more seamless.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was clean and bathroom felt more spacious than other ships. Good water pressure (VERY important), bed was not very comfortable. A little disappointed.

Ship tip

Definitely would purchase the priority package … definitely worth it!!

Disembarkation

Purchased the port valet transfer. Great idea, except our bags did not make the trip and weren’t delivered to us until LATE the following night. Airline stated it was unable to “scan” the luggage tags given to us. Not sure if Norwegian or American Airlines is the problem there.

Shows always provide standby seating, as many who reserve don’t end up showing up. They open them up 10 minutes or so before the shows.
