The cruise was ok we almost make the best of our vacations, but Royal Caribbean is by far a better cruise line. We thought we were saving money with the open bar, free at sea but by the time we added all the upcharges and the lack of entertainment amenities we didn't save and didn't have as nice of experience.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
We had priority but when we were supposed to be getting on the ship there were still passengers from the prior ship getting off so we were delayed almost an hour. We paid extra to get on early and that was money wasted.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was good but not a lot of variety and too many specialty restaurants that you had to pay extra for.

Entertainment
3 out of 5
The entertainment we saw was good but very limited and every reservation was booked the first day. We were able to get reservations, but our friends were not. Shows that didn't need reservations had ridiculously long lines. The game shows never had enough chairs. Other cruise lines have way more entertainment options and the crew perform on deck shows where there were none here.
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
The reason for the poor rating is first night our room steward walked in on us naked. He knocked once then just walked in without waiting for an answer. I reported this to customer service, and they just said "sorry".

Ship tip
There is a bunch of upcharges. Other cruise lines have photographer's taking pictures constantly not so on this one and they really took no good pics of us. Also, they were crazy expensive. The open bar is only up to $15 anything other you will get charged.
Very disorganized, super long line, was supposed to have priority and they had so many people that were carrying their own bags off who got to disembark first that again paying for priority was a waste of our money.
The āfreeā items are never truly free. Many donāt read the fine print and are surprised at the additional gratuity charges for the āfreeā drinks. For those that donāt drink more than 2-3 drinks a day, it may be better to decline the free package.
