This trip to Alaska was on my bucket list. NCL did not disappoint. The Encore is a beautiful ship with wonderful staff. The food was exceptional. A 5-star hotel on water. Couldn't have asked for anything better.
Embarkation

The protocols in place for COVID are great. It did seem the number of stops to show different documentation could be streamlined, but things did flow smoothly.

Ship tip
Enjoy the activities, get out, walk around and experience the events going on. Book your return flight for at least after 1 in the afternoon just in case of a delay.
This was the disappointing experience. We were late getting in, but it did not seem any effort was made to get people with early flights on buses. People were getting frustrated.
We sail on the Encore end of May '22, it will be our 2nd Alaskan cruise. I will although be disappointed if Skagway port is still off the itinery. It was one of our favorites. The ship looks amazing since we sailed on the Pearl which was prob half the sz.
We were on the same cruise and can't agree more with your review. We stayed in Seattle overnight after the cruise so we were not affected by the late arrival.
