I would do this cruise again--absolutely loved the Encore. Didn't have to wait in line for much of anything. Loved, loved, loved the smoke-free casino. Used the Local, Taste and Savory for most lunches and several dinners. All were good food and good service. We did a couple of the art lectures which we enjoyed it--much better than the art auctions. All in all we enjoyed this cruise so much!

Used 3 specialty restaurants, Q, Onde and Cagney's. We wouldn't bother going to Q again. But Onde was fabulous. Cagney's was excellent.

Did not use many of the special activities on this cruise. Never got in the pool, pool deck was always crowded.
Entertainment

Entertainment was beyond excellent--Kinky Boots and Choir of Man were amazing. The Beatles tribute band was great. The only disappointment was Prohibition the Musical. The charge was almost $40 per person, definitely not worth the extra charge. We were told it was because of the 5 cocktails included but we had the drink package so was redundant.

We did not see our cabin steward the entire cruise, and had some odd things happen so that's why we didn't give 5 stars. But all of the other service was excellent.

The public spaces were amazing--the Observation Lounge was beautiful and spacious. The finishes in the ship were high end. The reason we said this cruise was surprising was because I did not want to sail on such a large ship. As it turned out, I loved it! It was luxurious, clean and well appointed.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was well designed. The shower was larger than usual and had a glass door instead of a curtain. Balcony was angled so a little larger than many.
Ship tip
Find the Observation Lounge and take advantage of it! Also, make as many reservations on the NCL website as possible ahead of the cruise.
Did u have a midship angled balcony? We ended up booking an aft cabin on deck 12 since the deck looked a little deeper on that deck (bigger balcony for us). I’m bidding on Haven but figured if we don’t win, at least we’ll still have a nice big balcony to lounge on. Hoping if they don’t already have them we can get 2 loungers for the balcony.
