We really enjoyed our vacations. I think in the future if it is a long day in port, might try to do some of the private tours over the boats excursions - typically too short - would love to see more of the coast / country sides.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
There was a safety test that needed to happen. We waited about 2 hours.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
There is a nice selection. They have a standard selection and then daily selections. Get the French onion soup!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We enjoyed the hot tubs. Great to come back from a day of walking and jump in. We didn’t take advantage of a lot of activities. We were exhausted from our ports. So our standard was get back on ship, hot tubs, shower, show and dinner (love the freestyle - we went to shows a lot first then dinner unless hungry), then went to Bliss if they had live music. Then to bed and start all over!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
All the shows were really good except the comedian. And do t moss the final show w all the performers. Just amazing shows!!
Children's Programs
Didn’t bring any young children.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Most of the staff were great. Found the bartenders less enthused than other cruises. This only applies to the Dawn. The Sky has great ones. However, opposite w our room Stewart. He was fantastic on this cruise.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Very clean and well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We usually choose an inside cabin. Best part - British Isle in June is very bright. Sun up at 4 am and isn’t dark until after 11 pm. We only use our cabin for showering and bed. We like being outdoors and enjoying the sites from all sides of the ship, not just the one side the balconies face.
Ship tip
We loved it! Go into it that you are on vacation. Go see the shows. We didn’t have reservations for anything but Cagneys. Never waited for dinner, always had good seats for shows showing up 10 min before. Loved our trip! Sorry, we did have to wait at Pub for 30 min since it was the only food when coming back on ship so everyone was going there. But ate there 3-4 times w no wait.
We did the Titanic excursion. It was way too short. Got to museum and the place was packed. Only saw about a 1/2 of the museum and that was rushing through it. Would have liked a least another hour.
This we did all on our own. First day we went to Tivoli Gardens. Fun, not crowded. Ate in their upscale food court. Ate at a fish in chips in park - too expensive - go to food court - better quality/quantity. Fish and chips were ok but tiny.
