This was our 3rd Transatlantic cruise, our first with NCL. I highly recommend transatlantic cruises. This one was very reasonably priced, had a fairly liveky crowd, great itinerary and a comfortable , uncrowned ship.
Embarkation

The line to check your luggage was very crowded and a bit chaotic.Once we dropped off our luggage, though, the experience improved and check in went quickly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The quality of the food was inconsistent— some dishes were excellent but many were mediocre. The buffet was good for breakfast and lunch but not so much for dinner. The two dining rooms were generally good, with the Venetian main dining room having a better environment than Aqua. The speciality restaurants were ok, with Cagneys having the best food and service. Los Lobos was a disappointment. Tepenaki was very fun . La Cocina and Le Bistro we’re just ok. The bats all served great drinks!
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We did few activities. I did enjoy a craft class, cooking demos and a Portuguese language class. My husband went to the lectures.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Like the food, the entertainment was inconsistent. For example, the comedian was very funny in his first show. His second show was not nearly as funny. Some of the shows in the theater were very good, eg. Latin Dancer duo, the pop opera group, the duo who played multiple instruments. Other shows, especially the production Elements, were ok but not wonderful.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
What a happy, courteous and helpful staff! The service was excellent.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship was very clean. The update of the ship was tastefully done. I was disappointed in the lack of seating on the outside of deck 7. There were a good range of choices for comfortable indoor seating. The elevators were efficient. T
Cabin / Stateroom

This was a Club Balcony— very spacious, with los of storage, a bathtub and and a good size balcony. Our cabin steward kept the cabin immaculate.
Ship tip
Learn about the ports on your own before coming on board…..there is minimal information offered on the ship!
