The cruise was Ok except that they canceled two of the best ports and kept us at sea for two days instead of giving us other choices. hey could have picked two other ports so we could have spent our money more wisely. They took advantage of the customers.

Review summary

I will think twice in the future with my friends about rebooking. Also the flights they book us on were horrible. Never any direct flights on one that took 10 hours to get to our destination. Never again will I trust them with my air ticket.

They gave us one day. They could have given us 3 days because of the other canceled ports. They ripped off the customers.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

Good itinerary. Explanations for your missed ports has already been addressed. Booking another isn’t really up to the ship but the ports of call. Sorry you missed some. Appreciate your feedback.

I would imagine your stop at Edinburgh on 12th Sept may have been cancelled because there were road closures everywhere as Queen Elizabeth II was being taken from Holyroodhouse to St Giles Cathedral so that we the public could pay our respects. Outwith the control of NCL. Port cancellations usually are outwith the control of the cruise lines.

Thanks for the review. There is never a guarantee that you will stop at all of the ports that are on the original itinerary. Ports can be missed due to weather, issues with the ship, medical emergencies, political unrest etc. If a specific port is of extreme importance, it is best to book a trip there directly rather than depend on the cruise stopping there. Booking your own flights is usually better than booking through the cruise line since you have control over whether they are direct or connecting, the time of day, etc. The Cruise Line is going to book the cheapest fare, which is usually connecting flights and odd hours.
