Review summary

We love the Caribbean for the warm weather-- we do excursions on each stop- but honestly for us-- the islands are all pretty much the same. Each one will have a BEST EXCURSION- so repeats to each island can be challenging. We haven't done the beaches, so perhaps it's time to start on repeat ports for us. NCL does very well with the excursions and choices.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Restaurants were excellent-- My hubby particularly liked Aqua and Bamboo ( both complimentary) as well as Los Lobos ( specialty-- wayyy too much food but oooh so good!)

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We are relaxers-- spent lovely time on our balcony reading--weather was so nice and warm! Usually don't participate in games etc. Did attend 2 upcoming cruise talks.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The lounges were too small of a venue-- mainly Gatsby's for the live music ( by Randon)-- should have been in the Bliss lounge. The main show Elements was very lame compared to other ships main attractions for NCL.

Children's Programs

no kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff was terrific-- very professional and oh so polite. Best cabin steward we ever had-- he made one tight bed!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Washy washy everywhere! I particularly like the middle set of elevators on the Dawn-- not all the ships have this set and they are very convenient.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very comfortable-- we love this bathroom setup the best-- TV could have been larger-- liked the light in the closet. I liked the little stools. The table could be a drop leaf as it's location does hinder in and out of the balcony door.

Ship tip

Order coffee in the morning-- fabulous on your balcony!

Disembarkation

Note to other cruisers-- We left out of Laguardia-- we opted for a taxi-- taxi stand across street from port exit-- LaGuardia still has some construction going on around the airport so a cab was great to be delivered directly at the doors to departures.
