Review summary

I feel we’re should get a refund because we were not able to stop at certain ports. The main reason I booked this cruise was because I have not been to any of these areas. I was very disappointed and feel I wasted my money

Maybe cruising isnt you thing especially during Covid!! Cruising is more than ports!

I was on the same cruise. Most folks were disappointed but made the best of it by enjoying the ship and entertaining themselves. That's travel in the covid era. Everyone received $10.60 credit for missed ports. Sorry it didn't go as planned but at least you didn't have to cook or clean. Hope you try cruising again sometime.

Cruise line cannot control the ports. All go by the local government. That’s why I rescheduled our cruise because we wouldn’t be able to get off.

Sorry you are disappointed. Definitely will not get a refund.

Sorry your cruise didn’t go as planned. Blame it on Covid and not the cruise line.

Guess you need to read the fine print.

Must be new to cruising, if you are cruising be prepared for changes in your plans, especially right now. If that is going to ruin your vacation you probably should book a different type of vacation right now

In 2002 I booked a 17 day cruise with 6 ports and ending with transatlantic. We sat the first night at dock because the English Channel was closed to navigation because of storms. 2 of the ports were skipped due to weather, one because of political unrest and one because of a transportation strike. They added 2 additional ports, one skipped because of weather and second it stormed all day so didn't do much. Even with all that it was one of the best cruises I have taken. Cruises are what you make of them.

Sorry you feel that way. As everyone else has said reading your cruise contract would enlighten you to itinerary changes happening and you get no compensation. Cruises had port changed with out a Pandemic, so... good luck on your next vacation

Definitely shouldn’t cruise during a pandemic if this was a deal breaker. I think we all know it’s a risk 🤷‍♀️

Cruising during a pandemic is difficult. It is not the fault of the cruise line for missing ports. You should have known this was a possibility. Weather, major first aids and several other conditions can cause a captain to change course. Maybe cruising isn't for you.

The cruise contract trumps disappointment. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I’m sorry you were disappointed however it does say in your contract for any reason a ship may or may not port and can and will change itinerary as necessary.

daisydoozy    2 years ago

Sorry but this is not the cruise line's fault and we all know the risks of this happening right now. That's why we cancelled our April southern Caribbean cruise. The ports are very important to us and I know there's a good possibility of some being skipped.

Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations. Suggest you reread your cruise contract. Appreciate your feedback.
