All in all, I did enjoy this cruise. The Dawn was very nice and clean in general. Food was good and entertainments were excellent. Ports of call are good and plenty, keeping us very busy. Excursions were overall good. There were some bad services on board, but that did not dampened my trip. My first time with Norwegian, not as good experiences as I had with other cruise lines, but I think I will still try Norwegian again to see for sure.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Process was tedious, and the atmosphere was not cheerful and welcoming.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Buffet was OK and dessert was not appealing at all. Meals at the main dinning rooms were great and selection were good. Enjoyed. Did not go the the specialty dinning, so no commend.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
I only went to the trivia and musical activities, the director was very good and very cheerful. But some of the supporting staffs were not well trained, and not well organized too. The safety drill was very unorganized and people had to stand on the platform for quite a long time, and caused the elderly or disable passengers difficulties.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The most enjoyable moments we had from the ship was the stage shows, and the musicians. All very entertaining and high quality. Great job!!
Service and Staff

Only OK, most of them were polite and did a good job. But did come across a few with very bad attitude that spoiled my experience for a little while. But I still enjoyed the rest of the time.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
This is an older ship and design was a little old fashion. Like there are many places there is no through traffic, you have to either go up or down a level to get to the spot. But overall, the ship was pleasant and generally clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

Size was good, room was pleasant and clean. The room server did a good job.
New York is always a nice place to visit, I did not go excursion this time. But still enjoyed the view of Manhattan and the harbor, always breathtaking!
Enjoyed this port, took the trolley bus to go see the city, and walked the cliff walk. Very nice uplifting atmosphere and felt very relaxing. But the place was quite crowed in all places !
Took the Old Town Trolley Hop on/off bus to see the city. That was a good way to get around and be able to see more places. Went to lots of spots and did enjoyed the city. Boston has its own charm!!
Joined an excursion to see Arcadia National park. But weather was bad that morning, the peak was foggy and windy, we could not see anything from there. But we did go see the Sound of the sea blow hole, and also the Wild Garden of Acadia. The tour guide was great! We went to the West street Cafe to try the famous Maine lobster and clam chowder soup, and blueberry pie. It was a great treat!! Will recommend this place.
Took an excursion to see Peggy's Coast and the Titanic Grave Site. It was a great experience. Love Peggy's Coast and felt humble by the stories from the Titanic passengers and the site. Totally enjoyed.
Nothing much to do or see at this port. Very small coastal area for tourist. We took a local bus to go around and see some of the life of the locals and places. That was a great and economical way to go.
There isn't much to see or do according to my surveys before the trip. But I ended up taking a local hop on/off bus that came with 2 routes. Not bad at all and glad to see the place beyond the port area. There were a few interesting points that we enjoyed.
Quebec was one of the main reason for me to take this cruise. It did not disappoint. Totally enjoyed the European feel and charm it offered. We took the walking excursion tour in the morning, and then explored it ourselves for the rest of the day. We also took an excursion to see the countryside and the Montmorency Fall the next day. Totally enjoyed it and walking the bridge over the Falls was a great experience. Wonderful!!
Was OK. I felt that Norwegian generally did not do very well in organization for occasions. There was not enough staff to guide and signs to direct the flow. Quite confusing sometimes.
